Hopewell Rocks…..Bay of Findy

Yesterday we drove another 120 miles northeast into New Brunswick. Mostly inland but then turned South To the shore of the Bay at the little village of Alma here…

The huge expanse of the Bay is impressive………

At the Ponderosa Pines RV Park……some of our 26 motorhomes in the caravan…

This pretty lake is right in front of us and the Bay beyond…

Our campground ⛺️ is only a mile or so from Hopewell Rocks where the highest tides in the world occur. We drove there for our first look. We were shocked at how many cars were in the parking lot ….an attendant said it was just another day, somewhere between 5000 to 7000 people every day…..most of the tags were from Ontario or Quebec but many other far away places…..

We were there near low tide….here is the view of The Bay of Fundy at low tide..

This mud flat extends out from the shore on the right over a mile and a half and goes as far as you can see in the distance….this is only half the Bay….I will try to make wider angle shot today when we go back…..

we are going to walk on the ocean floor this afternoon at low tide…..like the people below in this shot
