Leaving Nova Scotia by Ferry

The nicest campground so far was the one called Arm of Gold on the water called “Bras d’Or”near Sydney, NS. We had a huge rain on the one free day we had to drive the Cabot Trail ….we drove some of it but took no photos due to the rain……loved the campground though….

Large grassy areas to walk by the 💦…..water

Three of our group decided to take the ferry when it was time to head for Prince Edward Island…..so we drove to another nice campground ⛺️ at Pictou, 4 miles from the ferry….

Next morning we were the first RV there at the dock about 8:15 for the 9:30 ferry…..

I spotted the ferry way out so got some shots coming in…

This ship is huge, holds 600 people and 220 vehicles…..

The whole front tilts up…….the vehicles on board drive off then we drive on…

here comes an RV towing a car…..

Here is the other ferry going back….

A beautiful day for a ferry ride…..the outside decks were crowded…

As we approached the dock calls were made to return to our vehicles….here we are next to two lanes of big rigs …that’s an empty log hauler next to Ronnie…

This shortened the drive over 100 miles ….we loved it

After we got to our new campground in Cavendish we drove about a mile or so north to this beautiful shoreline on the Gulf of St. Lawrence…..

Miles and miles across is Newfoundland and Labrador…..

This was a great day

This is the last stop on the Fantasy RV Tour…..we are here until Saturday morning….more later……
